I want to help...!

Today is Sunday, as usual mama is doing the housework, laundry, etc....hmmm..i want to help mama coz she looks tired....

But...is not to help to hang the clothes, is to....mess it up! hehehe..

Stay, don't move!

Ah boy ah, ah boy...ever since you know how to flip over and crawl, mama and papa always have to watch out and follow wherever you go...have to stop you, pull or carry you away from things that you are not suppose to touch...and sometimes it is really tiring!

Then mama found a very good tactic to makes you stop crawling and not moving for awhile, stay still for like at least 2 mins...i.e. let you lying flat on the floor..

Oh no....only 1 min, not even 1.5 mins..!!!

No no no...and no

Baby Oliver, mama and papa went back to baby Oliver's 嫲嫲 house for dinner just now. Here below is the conversation between mama and 嫲嫲 :

嫲嫲 : ..i bought 2 packets of biscuits for 乐乐 to eat, the bakery shop said is very good for kids to eat one, later remember to bring back hor!
mama : orh.. (quietly take up the packet of biscuit and check the ingredients..eggs, sugar, honey, potato starch, coconut milk....)

嫲嫲 : ..give something to keep him entertain lah, give him eat the apple!
mama : ..ehhh, no...no need, he already eaten 1 apple just now
嫲嫲 : ..aiyah don't worry lah, he won't be able to bite or swallow it coz the apple is very hard one.
mama : ..eh, no..really nooo。。。 need..!

嫲嫲 : ..take the potato from the ABC soup that i boiled and feed 乐乐
mama : ..oh, no need, coz he already had porridge just now at babysitter there
嫲嫲 : ..give him eat somemore lah, potato is very good one and i have boiled the soup since morning leh, very tasty one!
mama : ..hmm...no and can not, coz you have added salt in the soup and we haven't let 乐乐 eat any food with salt or sugar yet.
嫲嫲 : ..i didn't put salt lah, i only put soy sauce mah...and baby must eat food with salt or sugar one, if not the food is so tasteless, how can he eat?!
mama : ..errr...really no need...!!

嫲嫲 : ..then peel some roasted duck meat for 乐乐 to eat, is tasty and good
mama : ..err....(yes again)...no need, is ok, he is already full
嫲嫲 : ..aiyah, duck meat very good leh, u must let him eat some meat mah, he must learn how to chew food what...
mama : ...noooop, i did give him eat meat, but not roasted one yet...so, no...!!!
嫲嫲 : ........

嫲嫲 used her fingers (she just done praying and did not wash her hands) to take few rice from the rice bowl and : ..乐乐 come, eat this rice...
mama : ..ohhh no no no...no rice yet!!!

.....finished dinner, time to go home, at the door step;

嫲嫲 : ..eh, wait, take some fruits and the 2 packets of biscuits back home
mama : ..ahhh ya...1 packet is enough
嫲嫲 : ..aiyah, take all lah, can let 乐乐 slowly eat mah
mama : ...no no no, 1 packet is enough, the other packet can keep for 乐乐 cousin sister
嫲嫲 : ..ok lah ok lah...

In mama's heart was thinking : "my dear mum-in-law, i am so sorry that i have to reject whatever you want to give baby Oliver to eat. I did give meat for baby Oliver to eat but not duck meat or any roasted meat yet; add sugar and salt in the food? yes, but not now; other unhealthy food, yes, also not now....not until when he is 1 year's old or older.."

Is this mama being too paranoid or just over reacted? A friend of mama ever said that nowadays those daughter-in-laws who read a lots on how to take care of baby tends to have more conflicts with their mother-in-law....somehow is true, but ultimately all mothers just want to ensure that their babies 'eat right' and grow up healthy, right?!

"Mama...can i eat the sweets or chocolates??"

"No??..okie, i eat my pacifier then..."

Baby Oliver is 10 months old loh!!

Time really flies, before we know it the time passed away in just a blink of an eye! Baby Oliver is already 10 months old; soon will be 1 year old in 2 months’ time. His development so far is a satisfying one and is indeed a very happy and cheerful baby, even if we scold him, he can still put on a cheeky smile on his face to show us….

Baby Oliver’s weight is approx. 10.9 kgs now and height is approx. 85cm+. He is a tall baby, many of the babies that we have came across so far is either smaller size, shorter than him or same height as him and most of them are actually older than him.

Baby Oliver have full 8 teeth now and it surprise us that he have so many teeth at this age of time, some babies that are same age as him either have less than 8 teeth or do not have any teeth yet. Well...., every baby’s development are different and we just wish that our baby Oliver grown up healthy and happy. Cleaning his teeth is an issue now, we can’t clean his teeth at all, as he will either bite our fingers or the cloth that was used to clean his teeth…:p

Baby Oliver can sit up on his own very well now without support and crawl to everywhere he wants if no one stops him. He is also a very clever baby, for things that we don’t allow him to touch, he will crawl to that direction and sit up, turn his head to our direction then put-up a cheeky smile on his face…just want to see our reaction before he touch that thing!

Other things that Baby Oliver knows include standing alone without holding onto anything for a short while (as shown in the video in previous post), he knows how to put his hands together to do the “gong xi gong xi” action whenever we sing / say the words “gong xi gong xi”. He will also close and open his palm when I sing “twinkle, twinkle little stars”. He also knows how to crawl up to the sofa but still do not knows how to come down yet, most of the time he will head down first.

Baby Oliver seldom say papa or mama now…instead he will make the “dad a da” or “giiisshhh giissshh” sound, he will also says lots of funny words whenever we are talking and no one pay attention to him..for example like “ahhhh…ahhhh …per per per…ah da ah da….ahhh ka ah ka..” etc etc…

Baby Oliver try out 2 new fruits recently, i.e. mango and blueberries. It seems that he preferred blueberries instead of mango. Actually he eat almost anything that we feed him so far except mango, which he turns his head away and refused to open his mouth!! Well, never mind…baby Oliver, mama will not give up and will try to feed you with mango again! Heheh..

Baby Oliver’s favorite TV program now is the "Mickey Mouse Club House" and "Your Baby Can Read" series besides the nursery rhymes. He will dance whenever he hear the "Mickey Mouse Club House" song! :)

这个牛仔很忙 Part II

Yes, this little cow boy is still very busy...not only busy playing with his toys, but also busy playing with other 'things'....all other things that he sees and can reach out of.

这个牛仔很忙，真的很忙。。好像有永远用不完的精力

当他没睡觉的时候，会。。

忙着到处爬， 爬高爬低， 爬上爬下， 爬左爬右。。

忙着看左看右，看上看下。。

忙着坐起来到处摸摸，碰碰，看看,

咬一咬。。

忙着嘴吧咬着玩具双手卻到处摸其它的东西。。

忙着跳上跳下， 摇摇头， 尖叫，要抱抱。。

Sweet Dream

This is baby Oliver's favorite sleeping corner. Even though we put him to sleep at the centre of the bed he will still move around while asleep, examples like the one in the photo...or sleeping with one hand outside the bed....or the doggie style...etc etc.....

The most funny one is that one of the morning we woke up and could not find him at his usual sleeping place.....then only we realized that he was sleeping at the other corner of the bed!! He had actually turn 360 degrees while asleep!!

Me and my 嫲嫲

This is me and my 嫲嫲 (grandma), she is already 70+ yrs old, but she do not look like her age at all...and tell u a secret, thanks to 嫲嫲 that i had my first taste of chocolate which mama do not allow me to eat!! ...hehehe....

Freeze! hands up!!!

Time really fly, baby Oliver is almost 10 months old soon! From a baby that will only drink milk and sleep until knows how to flip over, sit up, crawl, make funny expressions, laugh, smile, eat, scratch and bite people......and now, starts to learn how to stand on his own!

Watching baby Oliver grows up day by day really is the most...most precious moment in our lives... :)

Changing baby Oliver clothes and diapers had never been an easy task ever since he knows how to flip over and sit up on his own without support. In order to keep him still without moving around when we are doing the change, we have to let him play with something, sing to him or make some funny sound...and this little fellow had mimic one of the thing that we often made, that is....

Moo moo...

The "moo moo" sound is one of the things that Baby Oliver scares of...look at his response to mama and the reaction when he hear the sound, is really oh sooooo cute... :D

P/s : this video was taken last month, now baby oliver is not scare of the "moo moo" sound anymore!
